Walked the GGW with my son Craig for the first time over 4 days unsupported. It took 3 busses to get to Inverness then we walked to Abriachan campsite on the first day and went to sleep in a blizzard, Day 2 was supposed to be from Abriachan to Invermorriston but no campsite to be found, so we went on to Fort Augustus campsite. Day 3 was as far as we could get in the day, Craig dragged his feet all morning and then at mid day, as I was starting to get tired, he came to life and was off like a man possessed, we made it to Clunes where we wild camped for the night. Day 4 was a nice slow stroll to Fort Billy and then the buss home
