Sorry i do not have a map of nepal but all you need to do is get a world atlas find india and nepal is on the east end of india. You will find everest on the border with TIBET. It is an amazing country and lots of tecks to chooose from if you like mountains

Nae worries. I was meaning what part of Nepal were you in?

This should bring back a few memories for you - Bing Map (Mera Peak being just to the right of Lukla).

Did you climb Mera Peak? Where was the Scott Fischer memorial plaque?

I atempted Mera peak but due to coffing since august and this trip was in November it efected me in getting to the summit. I got as far as half hour past high camp with 5 hrs still to go i had no choice but to turn back which was a little disapointing. I did however go up the Amphu lapsa which was an achiement in itself . after that the group went to do island peak i decided to head down to Dingboche as i was coffing still but already done island peak anyway. Once i got my photo's developt i thought after all it was no waste of money because these photo's i took are once in a lifetime and the onces i have put on this forum are just 2% of what i got. The Scott fisher memorial is on the everest basecamp treck about 2 hours past Pakding where you will find plento of other memorials to other climbers who have died on the big E

From what I've read of how things are at altitude you did the right thing.

How so????? when you pay over £3000.00 for the privalage and you don't make any of the summitts then you must think what a wast of money. But the photo's made up for itt

Yeah, but got to experience trekking in Nepal and lived to tell the tale so it's a success, imo.

i wouldn't mind i was wandering how that photo got there and it took me a while b4 i noticed that the dates are off which was anoying can you do 200 for me only joking it be nice to know how you do it as all my photo's have dates on them. As for nepal well that was my fourth time and probably last time as i practiculy done all what i wanted to do there

200 is a bit more than I think I could manage Don't mind doing a few for you though. I did it in Photoshop - careful application of the Clone Brush and a little Blurring to take care of the pixellation afterward.

Agreed. Smashing photos. Its on my to do list although i think it will be on my didn't do list i'll be writing when i've been dumped in the nursing home a few years from now. I have Mike Harding's Footloose in The Hymalaya, a great book which I've read over and over.
