Iain, I've just joined the site and am looking through the various posts for ones of interest. really enjoyed this one. The Corbetts next? I compleated in '96 and had only done 18 Corbetts. Been slowly picking them off since then. Hugely enjoyable and they take you to other parts that Munros don't reach. There are far fewer opportunities to do multiples in a day as per the South Cluanie and some are fairly isolated. The jewels, just to whet your appetite - Fionaven, Garbh Bheinn, Sgurr Dhomhnuill and Ben Resipol(Ardgour), An Ruadh-stac, Streap, Canisp, Garbh-bheinn (Skye), Arran, Beinn Dearg Mhor, Baosbheinn and Beinn an Eoin, Sgurr na h-Aide.
Go for it!

We've no plans to start another round, do the Corbetts or anything else. It's certainly involve hills and maybe some long distance walks.

We made a bit of headway into the Donalds last winter when we couldn't get up north. They were good walks, so maybe some of them?

Well done guys. Sounds like you had a great time! I'm just starting out with a mate doing some munros but not sure how hard we're going to attack them, 1 down so far and a few trips planned. Definitely wont be as fast as you pair though!

After the champagne and to our utter delight, we wandered into the station house to be welcomed by a bar selling Real Ale on draught!!! Sacre Bleu!!!! Another couple of hours in there, then we poured onto the train.

Corrour has to be the best station in Scotland - about 3 trains a day, who cares when there's real ale on tap and not a car in miles.

The Real Ale was excellent and unbelievably, it was on draught. They also had a fridge with bottled ale, Magners etc.

The place seems to be run by a right nice woman, and I must say that I wouldn't mind getting a nights B&B there. It's got all the makings of a great trip.

Yes Beth - I've been there a couple of times lately - firstly when I did Ben na Lap and Leum Uilleim a couple of weeks ago - then on Friday past after doing Ben Alder hills - arrived at 8.30 and she turned me away for dinner! Still, a couple of pints helped get rid of the disappointing prospect of cheese on toast for dinner.
