Wee reached the car park at 09:15 after what seemed like an endless road.
The walk to base of the climb was a real pleasant change, a nice long walk instead of jumping right into an uphill slog.
After the compulsory photo shoot at the Queens Well, we headed on past the cottage and started to get some hight.
The clear sky made for some cracking views and loads of photo opportunities.
We did not hang about much at the top, not only was the wind very strong, it was also numbingly cold.
We decided not to head back down the route we had ascended, but we headed away to the East until we picked up the start of Ladder Burn and we followed that back to the bottom, Oh except Watty, he decided to head further East and followed Easter Burn down by the water fall. We were glad that we had headed of the beaten track, not only did we have fun sliding down the snow, but we also saw a 5 or 6 deer (they are on the video clip) but we also saw a couple of white rabbits(they were to quick for me, so no video of them :(
We got back to the car in good time and stopped for our customary refreshment on the way home.
I know a lot of Munro baggers don't rate Mount Keen very highly, but we all had a Grand day

Interesting you took photo's of the stones. Look like some border marker stones. Find them in here: http://www.rcahms.gov.uk/canmore.html a huge database for antiquities. Search by grid ref or placename.

Hi Pigeon, A answer to your question about the stones with the letters marked on them. They are Boundary Stones.

Happy Hill Days :)
