Hi all,

Just spent a few hours (would normally take no more than 4 hours) getting up A'Mharconaich near Dalwhinnie. Snow conditions a nightmare after the snow of the last 2 days. For those of you who know the route which goes along the 'road' up the valley, the drifts ranged from a few inches deep to about 8 feet along the road. All drifts not consolidated with any freeze/thaw cycles so you can imagine what it was like!!

Of interest to those who cross the river to get to Sgairneach Mor, there is a nice new shiny bridge at NN 60800 74785

No photos I am afraid but no views as it was clouded up all the time, could not even see the detail of the snow drifts, at one point crossing a little ravine just off the 'road' I dropped at least 8 feet down, just walked off the top of it.

Had intended to do all 3 munros but far too much snow for that.
