Nice summer walk from Linn of Dee Carpark to Derry Cairngorm.
Will write a bit more later once I get a grip of this!!
This was one of the hike that myself and a friend took while spending the weekend up in Braemar. We started the day leaving from the Linn of Dee carpark, and was suprised to see the number of the cyclists there was. But as we were walking it soon became clear that the path to the Derry Lodge is perfect for a bit of cycling, Mental note to self for next time!
After the Derry Lodge, we went up towards Creag Bad an t-Seabhaig and Carn Crom

before reaching Derry Cairngorm. You know you are in the Cairngorms with the fantastic rocky surroundings.

It was a bit windy at the top, so we decided to press onto Loch Etchachan for Lunch.
- Loch Etchachan
After this it was downwards onto the Hutchison Memorial Hut which was very interesting. I love these wee huts/bothys in the middle of nowhere, yet has years of history behind it.

Then it was onwards through Glen Derry before reaching the Derry Lodge and making our way back to the Linn of Dee car park. It was a fantastic day and first time for me in the Linn of Dee area.
