Had a fine walk along the R.Soar Leics.today and saw and recorded my first butterfly of the year a tatty Comma........

Lovely pics. I saw my first frogspawn just up the road today... spring on the way 8)

Ah the butterflies at last (great pics)....you don't see those beauties until its getting warmer :D

O bloody great...I'll be fending off ice bears with a pointy stick. :(

The first frogspawn I saw this year was on the path to Camasunary in the pool shown in the picture below. That was on the 27th of February, which was rather odd I thought. Especially as it went down to -5c that night and I suspect it had been equally cold the new nights preceding.
