Well done Claremaree. Nice walk and some lovely scenery. Hope this gives you a thirst for more. Nice to see your compass I trust you also had a map  Your Another big mountain picture is the Corbett Beinn Luibhean just behind that is the Munro Beinn Ime. :D

Your picture of the Cobbler? The cobbler is the peak on the far right. The peak to the right of middle is the munro Beinn narnain. The peak to the far left at the back is the Munro Beinn Ime and the smaller peak in front of that is the Corbett Beinn Luibhean

Just for interest you climbed approx 550m in ascent during this walk. The small Beauchaille walk climbs an additional 350m in ascent for only another 1/2 a mile so its steeper.

Look forward to your next report. :D

cheers all and yes, it was really something.
our fitness isn't great - but all that really meant was we had to stop quite often for 10 secs to get our breath back but i could've walked forever given the views and the sense of exhilaration.
and honestly we were seriously p*ssing ourselves  when we got to Glencoe and saw what could have been, or what wouldn't have been given your info monty, on that mountain.
fun, fun, fun on the hills.

Hi Claremaree,

Well done, good report and photo's.......we were all new to this hill walking thing at one point, and most of them can deceive....you see a ridge struggle up to it and find there's an even bigger one behind to negotiate, and then same again, but as has been mentioned....hope to see many more reports.

Regards...................B

Congratulations - nice trip  You can often find that the views from the corbetts can be better than those from the munros....and some can be more challenging :D
