i think that was the quickest munro we have ever climbed - 2h 15 min ascent, 1h 30 min descent.
of course it was due to weather conditions- although the forecast was brilliant (fooled us again) we were greeted by heavy clouds and mist and i actually expected the sky to break down on us and 'bless us' with torrential rain.
thanks goodness it never happened
visibility was pretty close to NIL at first therefore i had no excuses to stop to take pics.. and we hardly stopped at all during the ascent.
first part of the ascent (more than half way) is a good but steep path, the second part (from the cairn up) is a pathless scree, but not that steep so, to be honest i really enjoyed walking it.
about half way up the scree i felt warm wind and just had this thought that maybe we'll be lucky to reach the summit in lovely sunshine and see the inversion.
WE DID!!! and it was brilliant!
