I got myself an Alpkit Hunka recently, so I decided to take it up to Arrochar to see what all this Bivying stuff is all about. It’s a superb Bivy sack; everything was dry and free from condensation.
More importantly I am now completely hooked on the Arrochar Alps, they are a superb group of mountains and it’s no surprise they are so popular with walkers.
I decided to do the Cobbler first, its hard to resist as you come up the Buttermilk burn, your boots just seem to be drawn towards its rocky peaks.

THERE WAS STILL PLENTY OF LIGHT LEFT AND I WAS ONLY GETTING COLDER SITTING AROUND BREWING UP COFFEE ON MY MSR POCKET ROCKET THAT I THOUGHT I WOULD SPEND SUNSET ON THE SUMMIT SO FOR THE SECOND TIME IN ONE DAY I CLIMBED BACK UP TO THE SUMMIT AND THREADED THE NEEDLE AGAIN.

I WOULD ALSO SAY GET YOURSELF A PAIR OF INOV8 TERROC 330S AS MY FEET WERE BLISTER FREE AFTER ALL THAT WALKING, JUST GREAT.
