Me and my mate decided to take his wee boy up into the lost valley
for a bit of wild camping and to give him a feel for the great outdoors.
so after his aunt getting him his 1st pair of walking boots for his birthday
and him packing his bag full of sweets and choc's,off we went on what was to be a
great 24hrs in the valley.
It took us maybe 1hr to get up into the valley collecting wood as we went,
for a wee fire to create the atmosphere that we wanted,so after getting tents up
the fire was soon taking shape and the deer had started to drop into the valley,
which the boy was keen to get closer to
- father and son
after some dinner and a wander about for wood it was getting dark and the young one
was ready for his sleeping bag.
his father and me sat by the fire and had a dram or two
debating whether to go up bidean with him in the morning or not???
when morning came it became clear we HAD to take him up bidean
as the views where going to be great and it is a hill we have both done many times,
so here is a selection of photos of a wee boys first hill and this is my 1st walk report so sorry for the out of sequence photos (i'll get the hang of it) The young lads's name is johnny G and he's 8 years old,he had a great introduction
to hillwalking and really impressed me and his father so we cant wait to get him out again and you've guessed it neither can he!!!
