The Saddle & Sgurr na Sgine profile.jpg

It’s a bit much isn’t it? One walk and you get 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 trip reports & a thread about the true summit of The Saddle

So I’ll just say two things: really enjoyed the company & I’ll be back.

Now here are the piccies:

Gorgeous photos Alastair. Haven't been here a while so I'll need to read the other reports. Looking like a lovely area.

Great pics as always Alastair, most of them in difficult - high contrast conditions too - great work :D

I enjoyed seeing the differing points of view in the other thread, ultimately it seems to depend upon WHY you walk mountains, if you do it to tick hills off a list then it has to be the very top of the very top, if you do it for the great views, nature, outdoors and physical well being, then resting your tea cup on the trig point is usually sufficient

Great stuff Alastair
A real benefit of WRs is seeing views we missed because of weather. Walked this (via your Mhalagain route) last May and heading up again this Friday, so thanks for setting the scene .......albeit its been set five times already by your comrades :)

The two are diametrically opposed  I even had a day's start on the rest as I headed home on the Saturday while the rest sat around the Cluanie supping Buckfast!

Hi Alastair can I correct your statement.
The Buckfast was supped on the Friday,
I did not partake in any Buckfast supping
