We set of from a car park at the side of Loch Cluanie at about 9am with Iain and Alan. The stalkers path was not as good as some I have been on this week but it was still fairly easy going and easy to follow for most of the way. A couple of RAF fighter’s jets roared up the loch way below looking very impressive. We stopped for a quick bite to eat before going onto the bouldery plateau, it was exposed with a fresh cold wind that turned wet before we got to the top of Carn Ghluasaid.

The weather soon passed and the views were excellent, we then headed for Sgurr nan Conbhairean,

Looking towards Sgurr nan Conbhairean, looking good with a dusting of snow.

the walk over was uneventful with great views all round and into the corries on the right hand side, approaching the summit we could see poor weather coming up loch Cluanie by the time we reached the cairn it was a blizzard and we took what shelter we could for the next twenty minuets.

We waited it out and the sky’s cleared so we headed for Sail Chaorainn a very enjoyable walk over although we were all cold because of our wait. The views back to Sgurr nan Conbhairean were great with it’s dusting of snow. We did the main top and the north top of Sail Chaorainn which is interesting with it band of rock that looks like marble.

We headed back the way we had come,

then descend the southwest ridge, which is initially broad but soon narrows to a fine arete with the Gorm Lochan down to the right and Toll Easach to the left. At first the going was good but about half way down the going becomes very step ad boggy in places, I’m not sure I would want to come down this way again.
Considering the weather forecast it had been a great day Thanks to Iain and Alan for there company.
:D

Ye the weather change very quickly, we were ready to give up on the 2nd one, but when the weather cleared it looked to good to miss the last one.

Some nice photos there. It looks like you're having a whistling contest in photo 4 ... :D
I had to check the map to see exactly where these three are as the names didn't ring any bells. Realised I did them in scorching heat back in June '03. Nice little group of peaks with some fantastic views.
