Finally got to do 1st munroe and decided on Mount Keen taking the Glen Taner route and the weather held up for most bit of rain approaching M Keen and when on top but nothing too heavy although the wind nearly stopped me from reaching the top and legs burning had to stop about 50 mtrs and rest for about 10 min. Cloudy at the top but still some magnificent views, but have to say enjoyed the walk through the glen more then the climb, brought little panser the dachund with me and he enjoyed the long walk and skipped up the munroe. On the way back took old pines route which took me through farm fields along the river which was a nice walk in itself, but deff need to invest in new boots for the rough paths.
Looking forward to next one and thinking of doing the long walk to Lochnagar around Loch Muick this weekend, have posted some photos of GT/MK hope you enjoy them .. John
