I'm sure I mentioned in a previous post how I once had to gnaw my own leg off to make a nourishing broth whilst snowed-in at Ryvoan bothy. We had a main course and fish course and pudding, but no soup course. Would have been letting the side down rather to slum it simply because of an awkward blizzard. That chap Scott did so in the Antarctic and they're still talking about him.
