Just a short trip report on my walk up Mount keen. Bear with me as this is my first walk report.
Had been wanting to do this one for a while as it is not that far away from where i live.
Had been watching the forcast for the couple of weeks previous and decided that tues 31st was the day to do it as the weather was gonna be good.

Camped the night before in the Glenesk Campsite beside Edzell so i could get up and make an early start.
So after having breakfast and packing up all the camping geari headed up to the Invermark car park at Glen Esk.

Im pretty new to this walking lark and decided to try this one on my own.
It was a great morning so i had a fair idea i was gonna be in for a great walk.

I was right the scenery was stunning and the weather was great too.
Also couldnt believe how tame the birds were at the car park as they were eating out of my hand.

Here are some pictures from my day as the scenery was lovely and hopefully they might inspire others to do the walk as they did me.

great stuff watty - I love those birds down at Invermark, I've never seen chaffinchs so tame....they love a tracker bar though

You picked a great day for it, I was out myself over at Glen Shee and had a fantastic day.

Anyway, a fine first report - I look forward to more of em :D

Hi Chris

Ur right about the birds by the way.
They also like Alpen bars and if u hold the bar out to them they just come over and peck a little bit off.
It was actually a great way to end the walk and was very relaxing.

Hope u had a great day where u were and i will look out for ur reports.
