Started from Milngavie on the Tuesday morning with 2 friends. We were walking the Way for CHAS.
We walked from Milngavie to Milarochy bay on the first day and the feet took a severe battering especially going over Conic Hill as the weather came in really quick and it was quite exposed to the wind and rain.
On the second day we walked from Milarochy Bay to Inverarnan via Inversnaid. We stopped for lunch at the Inversnaid Hotel and were seriously considering catching the boat across the loch and some public transport but after serious pondering and bearing the charity in mind we continued on up the lochside in the pouring rain to Beinglas Farm Campsite!
Day 3 we walked from Binglas farm to Bridge of Orchy stopping in Tyndrum for lunch. We camped wild at the riverside in Bridge of Orchy and got assaulted by the midges!!
Day 4 was from Bridge of Orchy to Kinlochleven. The weather was dismal all day and poured it down for the best part. We stopped at Kingshouse hotel before tackling the Devils staircase which we overcame without too much hassle and a flag was planted at the top. We camped in Kinlochleven.
Day 5 was from Kinlochleven to Fort William. Thank god. We could hardly walk by this point!
After finishing the way and getting some pictures it was time for a drink with some friends we met on the Way.
Great week and have been back since to do from Inverarnan to Rowerdennan and back.

That second day is a killer. So many people had to quit at Beinglas. I carried on for another 10 miles and had to pack it in. I'll never wear those crappy wool walking socks again.

Went back up 4 months later and done it in 5 days. Had a great time.

Well done on completing.
