Some friends of ours had hired Glenuaig Lodge for a 50th birthday celebration, so instead of a wet tent or a bothy, we had a comfortable cottage with hydro power, copious food and drink etc (incidentally the hydro also powers a heater in the little bothy adjacent - worth knowing if you're cold and wet). Forgetting principles completely, we'd also hired a landrover to get up and down the track.

Moruisg was an obvious first day's walk. A dullish approach up a long grassy slope was made easier by a fine zig-zagging stalkers path.

At the top, an easy stroll across the plateau led to the top and views opened out of Skye, Glencarron and Torridon.
[attachment=1]Fiona had had enough by then so we didn't carry on to Sgurr nan Ceannaichean but cut back across the moor and back down the stalkers path.

You picked a good route, much better than the endless haul up from the main road. The views from Moruisg are much better than it's height would suggest, especially towards Coulin and Torridon.

Although it looks like little more than a bothy from the outside, It's an excellent place to stay. It sleeps up to 10 so, if you can fill it, it's very cost effective as well. It's beautifully kitted out and the hydro power works like a dream. You need a 4x4 to get up the track as it's full of holes and needs high ground clearance. A minor drawback is that there is only one key for the level crossing at Craig so if you have parties wanting to do different things, it needs a bit of co-ordination.
