First Ben Klibreck, the second most northerly.

1. Nice bridge to cross..... bit cloudy on the top though

2. Cloud clearing.... time to get the shades out!

The path was good at first then it went through a boggy patch. There were loads of dragon flies.

The next part was steep.

3. Heading up the hillside

There were good views of Ben Hope and Ben Loyal.

4. Finally we joined the path round the hillside

5. Our route forwards

6. The cloud clearing off the top

The last bit to the summit was steep and a bit rocky, but not hard with clear path. It had got quite windy now and the cloud was back on the top again. :(

7. Summit of Ben Klibreck

49 Munros!

10. The cloud chasing us!

11. Almost back and the cloud is fighting back!

12. Yipee!

Day two. We set off for Ben Hope and the weather was wild - very windy and wet. We thought we'd drive down and HOPE we could do it!

13. Rainbow on the way

When we got there the weather had improved and so ......

14. Here we go!

IMG_1830.JPG
15. Awesome waterfall

The ascent was steep but the path was clear and was only wet and boggy in places.
IMG_1845.JPG
16. Up and up and up

IMG_1850.JPG
17. View back of Strathmore

This part of the route takes you up to the main ridge path.

18. Ben Klibreck

IMG_1853.JPG
19. View of nearby hills

It was steep all the way to the top but not as hard as the path was easier going.
After a long while .......

20. Summit of Ben Hope - 50!!!!

We ate our lunch but it was SO COLD
IMG_1862.JPG
21. Me with my hat and coat and gloves on!

IMG_1875.JPG
22. Nice view to the north coast

The walk down felt steeper but much easier. By the time we got back the sun was very bright and the summit was visible and cloud free!

23. View of Ben Hope from road going north

These were two good hills and I liked getting to 50. Time for a Cadbury's Wispa to celebrate! :D

Not bad at all :D . I thought I started fairly young, but I didn't get to my 50th until I was 16 or 17. Anyway, keep it up!

Who's going to break the news to him that Munros don't count if you do them in a Man Utd shirt!

Well done on reaching the half-century! You'll finish them all before me at this rate :D
