As i'd previously did the first 2 Munros on the ridge, i took the path 1km from the Cluanie inn which takes you up Druim Shionnachs north ridge straight to it's summit. Kim dropped me off at the start of the path, later to pick me up at the finishing point, thanks Kimbo.
Once on the summit which was reached in just over 1 hour i started where i finished off last year and continued along the ridge. As this is a very popular route there is a clear path all along the ridge, it is narrow in places with the odd scramble but nothing at all to worry about. As i got a good day i had the added bonus of the superb views. I was quite suprised not to see many people as the day was so good, the only person i met was a young American who i met at Maol Chinn-dearg. I asked him if he was doing all the Munros on the ridge and he replied "whats a Munro?" After explaining to him we continued the walk together. As i was also doing the Corbett Sgurr a' Bhac Chaolais i asked him if he wished to join me and i'd drop him off at the bunkhouse in Shiel Bridge where he was staying and he was happy to tag along. So off we headed along the ridge and continuing to the siamese twin, Sgurr a' Bhac Chaolais.
After doing the Corbett we retraced our steps to Bealach Duibh Leac taking the stony path down to the layby at the finishing point.
Although this is a long walk, like a lot of the longer walks it's not too strenuas, the downside being the 9 miles between the start and finishing points and for me the final path down off Bealach Dubh Leac which was very stony and not ideal after 8 hours walking. I of course was lucky to have Kim picking me up.

similar to me - I often have problems with the walkout at the end as it affects the sides and balls of my feet which can last for days after :(

Once you're on the ridge Polly most of the hard work is done, it then becomes a stroll :D

And as you're a runner you could also run the 9 miles back to the Cluanie :D
