Set out 2 weeks previously and was an epic fail! The vertical rain hadn't stopped for 48hours, a wrong turn meant a long walk back up a very cloud covered ridge and the pictures that day tell their own story....

So after heading to the pub to ponder what might have been...a fortnight later I had the chance to take on the mighty Bidean again!

I guess sometimes it does pay off to realise the mountain will always be there another day! Certainly my favourite mountain so far

Thanks, yeah was certainly a wee bit of everything, enjoyed the bits of scrambling, ridge walks etc. Was a bit concerned when I bumped into two french girls asking me how to get off the mountain!

Love Bidean too, and yes the mountain will always be there for another day! Hehe....and we're not always good at remembering that. But as long as we're prepared, and I fancy going back to this great mountain again...

Took my friend James up who'd only ever been up Ben Nevis, so thought this would be a bit of a nice change! Would do the same for anyone wanting to get the bug, and will definitely be back up some day, maybe do it in reverse :)

Had planned to walk these hills last Saturday but switched to go further east due to the forecast. Glad I did now as I'd like to keep them for a "perfect weather day" if that's possible as the views you eventually got are excellent. :D

Great pictures ntz - even the ones taken on the first outing - there's real drama and atmosphere in the mists and with all that water pouring off the hill! :D But I have to say, I hope to get excellent weather like you had second time when I tackle Bidean! :D Enjoyed your report. 8)
