A day off with only a slight chance of rain- lovely
Have not had this pair on the hills yet, so today was it
Up at 0430- usual time for work, take them out for a wee walk and pile into the car. Arrived at the carpark about 0630, set off 10/15mins later- the Chaos Collies fair 'champin' at the bit' to explore these new smelling surroundings.
A fine path indeed, but I can see how some, with smaller limbs, may struggle with the size of a few of the steps
Not exactly beaming sunshine today, but still a fair amount of heat in the air as I/we climb upwards.
The Aonach behind us
Some of the Glencoe hills on our right
The Chaos Collies in person
A wee stop to de-layer and indulge in some refreshment and off again winding our steady way towards the bealach. The sun at least trying to make a decent attempt at shining upon us.
The sun lighting up the 902 Top
Reached the bealach and the views were opening up around us very nicely, thank you
Further on up to the 902, and the wind is starting to pick up slightly blowing clouds around, and over, the surrounding summits.Whilst we are still clear
Not much further now till we top out, glimpsing Etive in the background.
Back along the Ridge
Glen and Arran enjoying the views
They don't seem impressed with Etive though
Getting colder now with the wind freshening up,so time to re-layer and partake in some light repast- two Multigrain
sandwiches with Ham and Cheese ,between three of course
The view towards the next target
Etive behind us
Clouds over the top of Sgreamach and Fhada
Some moody clouds on The Bigger Buachaille
Heading back down towards the Bealach for the final pull up to Stob Coire Raineach, Glen spots some deer and 'bounces' down the hill towards them
Shouted twice to no avail, time for the big guns- the Silent Whistle, he stops, turns and heads back up for the usual biscuit- and a 'waggy finger'
Summit reached and time to finish off the munchies -again between three
both dogs have enjoyed their first big hills and pose for the camera
Time now to head back to the car before the cloud catches up with us
