My wife and I were camped at Dale Bottom Campsite for the Easter weekend and had fantastic weather and were joined by Ellie's daughter and her husband to be Gavin plus Sam the Rottweiller. Myself and Ellie had attempted this walk on the first day of our holiday but took a wrong turn off Walla Crag and headed down the side of Derwent Water to Ashness Bridge before having to climb back up the steep side and up onto High Seat through quite a long bog. We also didn't quite cover the summit of Raven Crag on this day as the heat had got to us from the steep ascent and the beer fridge was screaming at us to return and rest.

My last day of the holiday saw me trying it again determined to bag Bleasberry Fell while we were there, and as shown on map, I and Damson took a direct route from Walla Crag to Falcon Crag to point us in the right direction. I've added photos from the two trips but the weather was similar for both (glorious).
The campsite is brilliant and I would highly recommend (even had a Japanese Karaoke session whilst we were there with 9 young Japanese campers having a few beers). A few trips into Keswick and Grasmere and a trip out to bag Barf and others as covered in another blog.

Ah, Walla Crag, my very first lake district hill. I took my 7 month pregnant ex-wife up here for a tea time bimble as we were staying at the farm campsite nearby. Been back a few times since, cracking views over Derwent Water and Keswick.
