A fairly clear day, very minor rain at one point and very blustery at summits. Good steady walkfrom the car park up to the ‘ladder’ adjacent to Meikle Pap, made good time up the boulders and on to the summit of Lochnagar - an excellent viewpoint as no clouds to hinder your view.
We didn't stop and had a straightforward walk to the 2nd Munro, Carn a’Choire Bhoidheach, the least interesting of the Munro’s climbed today as summit is a bit flat and it was windy.
A good descent down towards the 3rd Munro; stopped for eats at lower level out of the wind. Ascent was easy enough to Carn a t-Sagairt Mor, good views at top and spotted the 4th Munro summit as weather was clear.
Cairn Bannoch was a nice climb and again good views from summit, although very blustery wind made staying at top tricky so we descended down towards the last Munro.
Broad Cairn was a good climb and was like a smaller version of the lochnagar peak. The view of Loch Muick was excellent, a great photo opportunity. It was a boulder strewn descent from here, and stretched out for most of the descent till near Sandy’s Seat – a wooden seat next to an animal shed, where we had a 2nd food break. A seat well placed for weary walkers needing a nice seat!! the smell of the coutryside was rich at this shed.....
From here we walked at high level to Loch Muick and then zig-zagged down to the near the Loch side and a pleasant walk back to the car park. Completed walk in a good time, weary but happy and content on having done a good and interesting walk.
