A party of 18 gathered at The Cluanie Inn to help Gordon Celebrate in fine style his completion of the 283 (601 Munro mountains, summits, tops declassified tops, relassified tops, the upgraded, the down graded and just some totally random just to be sure tops). The target Ciste Dubh. Now at this time of year and after a wet summer Ciste Dubh proved to be an endless bog slog in the mist. This is a fine mountain with superb views but not today. Today it was a fine challenging walk with a slight reward of some blinks of the views that might have been peeking through the mist from the summit. There was plenty of cheering, champagne and applause for the plucky chap bravely holding back a tear at the emotional moment (or was it the price of the champagne he was so liberally splashing in our glasses). Toasts and congratulations over we slipped slithered and splodged our way back down to the Inn for a suitable celebration meal and the Munro Quiz night...............no don't ask for a copy............and number 15 is not Ben Nevis, Wyvis or Everest....!
