You certainly have the knack of sniffing out some fine weather!!!

Cracking photos as always!!! Probably I've ever seen - loved them :D

I'm a bit of a weather junkie. I don't like hill walking in poor weather so I have a load of weather sites bookmarked and they're the first thing I check in the mornings. It's sad that I keep wishing for two good weather days together so I can do an overnight camp (either walking or motorbiking) and in the past 4 years these two days have been so rare.

Yup, 'fraid so. I used a circular polariser and an ND grad. Cheating I know :)

Yup, sent in this morning and surprised that they actually published it.

WOW.......fantastic photos frogwell. Same here when it comes to the weather, one of the reasons I climb to the top is to enjoy the views.

Toyota Prius - a car that needs to be banned for the effect it seems to have on it's operators. Without exception, every Prius driver I have seen has obviously decided that it doesn't matter how bad their driving, how erratic, as long as they drive really slowly.

they're saving the environment you know....so they can do as they like

Great photos Frogwell as always, hope the scenery helped you unwind (that's usually what happens to me) ....then I get all wound up again on the drive home

They can do as they like as long as it's not in front my my environment abusing, V8 powered 2.5 ton brick.

You're right though, the walk does help unwind. Apart from my last walk this past Wednesday up Ben Avon. That wound me right up and I'm not sure I'm on speaking terms with the Cairngorms any more. But that's another report (if I calm down enough to write anything polite about it).

No worries, I was intrigued how you did it. Think I'll need to get myself a couple of filters too because I would love a deep blue sky like that in some of my photos. :)

And what type of wide-angle lense are you using? Pics 6 and 7 (counted from the end) look like a 12mm; am I close? In any case, fantastic shots! :D

I'm way too cheap to fork out for a wide angle I'm afraid. They're just stitched panoramas.

Great pics, I'm going to try these two in the next week or two, bet it rains I haven't had a dry walk for ages. Going back to your in built compass problems a few weeks ago up in the Cairngorms my compass was obviously giving me duff info. When I checked it out it had inverted by 180 degrees and the needle was pointing south; I think it may have been caused by having it stored in my pack for a couple of weeks alongside a metal object. I took it into Tiso's and they used a magnet to "turn it around" I don't leave it in my pack any more.
