Blown away on the baby buachaille

Our small band of Munro Meanderers were to do Beinn a Ghlo last saturday, but the thought of 21K in the predicted weather conditions proved too much for the weak minded

So the three of us that wanted to get out & about headed for glen coe, less far to drive & a shorter walk. I am lucky enough to have done this walk in apaling conditions before so i new it could be done

Up & down in four & a half hours helped & hindered by the wind.

It is a great wee walk. We did the stob dubh first. The views came & went the rain stayed & the wind got stronger to the point when we crawled the last 20 meters to the summit of Stob Coire Raineach

Did the wee Bookil on Tuesday. Really enjoyed it, even got views

Glad you got the views. I have done it under clear skys as well. Think i'm going to do it again when it's covered in snow

Nah, it's hidden by the clag most of the time. Ergo, an invisible path. It always seems to be raining on these ones. I'm still drying out from the lashing rain that day with Kev back in May!

Mrs R and me climbed the Wee Buachaille about this time last year in very different conditions! And we loved it! Here's a sample:

But every kind of weather brings it's own challenges and pleasures!

There are very good paths up to at least the bealach between the summits, Polly. We were in snow above that but I think there were reasonable paths all the way.

These are two great wee hills!

From the car park oposite the big cairn there is a well constructed path up to the bealach. Then clear path to both Munros
