So much for fair weather walking

Driving up to Ben Venue it looked a great day for a walk, sun's shining and it's dry. Get to Stirling and the Ochil's have snow on them. Callander it's getting worse. Feeling a little ominous we reach Ben Venue car park at loch Achry.
durquhart and myself get ready to start, got everything and good to go.
Eh urquhart, forgot your hat then your gloves ha ha.
I done this as a teenager, great hill this gave me the bug.
It was a nice walk up through the forest to the north side of Gleann Riabhach into the felled part giving us the views of the way ahead and the path back.
time to crack on through the next forestry track.
before too long and we hit the snow.
we get up to the gap in the fence and the directions go out the window. Snow on every slope and if it weren't for the only other walker we probably would've got lost.
we found our way the best we could and eventually we reach the cairn at the lowest point of the ridge. Was quite a hard slog as there was about three feet of snow to trudge through.
there was stunning views from here.
