Strathaven, Sandford and Spectacle E'e falls
Route: Strathaven, Sandford and Spectacle E'e falls
Date walked: 10/02/2019
Time taken: 1 hour
Distance: 5km
Good short walk with some spectacular waterfalls. With us having had a few days heavy rain in week leading up to the walk the paths were very muddy in places but this did make the falls a sight to see with a huge amount of water passing through them. The wooden bridge to cross the Avon and the wooden walkway to view the falls were very slippery so if your'e going when its wet keep this in mind to avoid a fall and also watch your step on some of the route as there are a lot of tree routes that can also not only be a trip hazard but slippy as well. Glad I have found this walk as it is fairly local so will no doubt do it regularly when taking the dog out
