Lang Craigs + Doughnot Hill (with detour)
Route: Lang Craigs Circuit, Dumbarton
Date walked: 17/05/2017
Time taken: 6 hours
Distance: 20km
This was a brilliant solo adventure! I'm training myself up for the West Highland Way in August, so this was ideal. I really enjoyed the scramble up to the heathery summit of the crag and weaving through the grass up Doughnot Hill. Unfortunately I couldn't access the the circular path beyond the reservoir due to ongoing forestry work. Instead I just had to come back the way I came up, which wasn't as exciting as I'd hoped, but not to worry! I loved this wee challenge and can't wait to plan another

- Ideal day out: As long as I can see that folk have walked the same route ahead of me, I don't mind heading off the beaten track. I find it very liberating to have to channel my body's stamina into getting up a hill (with lots of wee breaks, of course).
