Perfect hike
Route: Loch Lee and waterfalls circuit, Glen Esk

This walk gives you some time to warm up those legs, before heading into the steep incline along the waterfall. Foot traffic around the base of the fall was quite heavy, as the weather was really good, but as soon as we started to climb, we were completely alone.
The path along the waterfall itself is mostly invisible and we guessed our way up. It was quite a steep and long path, but hearing the water rushing down next to us was a good pay off. Once at the top, the path was even less visible and the ground really rather boggy. After 5-10 minutes of following the path on the ridge we reached the second bridge we had to cross. This is the perfect picnic spot! Rocks that warm up in the sun, noone around, and a lot of birds curious to see what you are up to.
The rest of the path I believe we didn't follow the protocol on. We tried our best to follow the somewhat visible path, but ended up crossing onto the road we were meant to find way later than expected and through a rather unconventional route. Maybe we read the instructions wrong, or maybe the real path was overgrown. Just don't let that deter you and turn back.
Once you hit the road its quite straight forward. Don't leave the path, cross the last 2 bridges and you're back where you started.
