Meall Mor #2
Sub 2000s: Meall Mòr (Moy)
Date walked: 08/08/2017
Time taken: 2 hours
Distance: 5.4km
Ascent: 200m
Having climbed Meall Mor in Angus, it was about time I attempted to climb its namesake near Moy, especially since I have driven past it so many times on the A9. The route that dogplodder posted recently looked good and I took all the advice that was kindly provided (Many Thanks! viewtopic.php?f=9&t=67709). The route was relatively easy to follow, despite it being very wet underfoot. Since the report in October, the logging machines have been busy and many of the trees on the way to the relay mast have all gone (pics below). I didn't see any machines around, however, they were very helpful because the tracks they left were much drier than the original track. Time was a bit tight so I didn't make it over to Beinn a' Bheurlaich, on a dry or frosty day however, I would be keen for a return visit.
