Strathfillan wigwams visit!!

Back again only the weatherr forecast was a lot better today. Decided right from the minute I left the car that I was going to turn right over the wee bridge, then visit The wigwams and then have a walk through the woods then see if I could cross the stream without getting wet.- honest.
Alas the stream wasn't for crossing as I didn't want soaked after 5 minutes of walking so it was back down to the wee bridge and get on the right track!!!
So glad the ground was frozen today as you pass the cow feeding station by the viaduct. It was bad enough today with the coo sh*t everywhere. It must just be a slurry swamp in hotter weather.
Followed the good track up and round and picked a point to get off it and start heading up to Beinn Chaorach. When you hit the fenceline if you follow it to the right there's a gate you can climb over- saves getting any of your gear ripped on the barbed wire.
The views behind started to really open up with Ben Liu and friends looking so good. Ben More and Stob Binnien also looking great as were the Cruachan hills.
Snow started getting deeper the higher I went but no cause for concern. Not solid not soft. I'd say it had a crispy crust on it. Only ankle deep most if the way round and up to my knees a couple of times.
On up to the trig point where the bit of cloud that was lingering on Ben Challum finally lifted allowing a good view across.
On down and tried to keep right of the old battery box or whatever if is, just to shorten the route by a few metres. Snow was covering all the boggy areas so basically pick a way up.
Snow got a but deeper towards the wee cairn which was quite an impressive icy feature.
Had a coffee and a look round and spotted a wee green tent in the Glen a fair distance away. Hat off mate.
Back down and basically pick a spot to veer off and head to the fence(s).
If you were to head up to the slightly higher fence on your right and handrail this, it would bring you back on the track a couple of Km's further down.
Me, I decided to go down the middle and through a bit wetter section. Ended up going over various wee burns then had to get over 2 again to get back up to the track.
I had spotted a couple coming off the summit of Beinn Chaorach. Thought to myself if they're going up to Cam Creag then it's a dark descent for them. Anyway I spotted another couple scaling a fence behind me on the other side of the river later and i reckon it was them.
Back through the slurry pit feeding station where the herd of cows now were. Gave them a wide berth and back fown to the car.

Cheers to Beinn Chaorach and Cam Chreag
