On the walk in along the glen I was surprised at the amount of Orchids there were road side. It was a fairly straight forward walk apart from a few cleggs along the glen, and the walk along the forestry track was a little wetter than usual but I arrived at the summit in a little over two hours, unfortunately the views were poor. I sat and ate a sandwich and drank my coffee before heading back down. Back in the Glen I stopped to take a few 'photos of the orchids before driving home. The following week I drove to Gen Massan again and this time I walked the 6k or so to Loch Tarsan and back this time in beautiful sunshine but the orchids? some nice man had cut the grass along side the road and felled the lot. I don't know what hurt the most, the clegg bites or the deflowering of Glen Massan,
