Lovely wee walk on a lovely sunny day. Park at the Carmichael Visitor centre. Walk through into the square behind the shop, then diagonally through the kids playground. Follow the path to the right, then follow this path all the way till it joins a B road towards Carmichael village.Just before the village, follow walkers route sign over fallen fence, up through steep woodlands, until you can see a tall deer gate on your right. Go through this and then the next, up the hill. Follow the top of the hills until you reach the hilltop monument. From here, ascend slightly left until you reach a tarmac road which passes the deer enclosures. Turn right onto the road. At the end of the road, turn right taking you back towards the visitor centre where theres a nice restaurant/ tea room.

- Ideal day out: I like a scenic ramble, but I also like a bit of a challange. Done WHW (twice), climbed Nevis 3 times, Steil gorge, and many more.
