Callander Crags and Bracklinn Falls

Date walked: 10/05/2019

Time taken: 3 hours

Distance: 9km

A lovely wee walk. We parked around Ancaster Road, but there is a car park called Callander Crags. We had a steep and steady incline for 1 hour, to reach the cairn monument at the top, with lovely views, Woodlands, bluebells and other wild flowers all the way. From the top you can look over to loch Vennicher too. Much steadier, gentler incline on way down. When we reached the Falls car park, we turned left to see them. Worth seeing. It's an impressive gorge, with a great canopied bridge. On the way back we even saw a red squirrel! Highly recommend this walk.

Activity: Rambler
Pub: Drovers, Loch Lomond
Mountain: Ben Nevis
Place: Glen Coe
Gear: I love my seat mat.
Ideal day out: I like a scenic ramble, but I also like a bit of a challange. Done WHW (twice), climbed Nevis 3 times, Steil gorge, and many more.
