With a promising weekend forecast, we had to head somewhere. Unfortunately I could only make Sunday, which was a shame as Saturday looked like being better.
Unfortunately George couldn't make Sunday so I suggested to Parminder we have our last Munro trip of the year. The only real option was the nearest red balloons and they were the Loch Lochy pair, Parminder was happy to keep me company and be my co-pilot.
One thing that was in the back of my mind was would there be any adverse reaction as I had my Covid booster on Thursday evening. I also had the Flu vaccine at the same time, one in each arm. Both arms had been tender since they were administered and I had felt slightly lethargic on Friday.
I volunteered to drive as Parminder was still experiencing vehicular problems and we left Fife in the dark at 6am. The roads north and then west were super quiet and we made great time. On the plus side I finally fathomed out how to put co-ordinates into the SEAT satnav and there will be no holding us back now.
We arrived at the small parking area at 8.15 and squeezed next to a BMW that 3 young guys had arrived in the day before, they were just getting ready to start walking after camping on the grassy area next to the car park.

Loch Lochy appearing, ascending Meall na Teanga was a proper struggle

Another great day, that was certainly a struggle ascending the final part of Meall na Teanga leaden fatigued legs and hopefully the booster jag can be held responsible - we will find out next weekend. Thank you to Parminder for keeping me company, especially as they were repeats for him. I now have 28 left and they are going to have to wait until next year.
Over the winter months we will be heading south to keep our fitness levels up.
PS: This walk took me over the 1000km distance, only the second time I have done that in a year and if things go to plan this should be a record year.
