Monega Hill and Glas Maol round from Glen Isla
Route: Monega Hill and Glas Maol round from Glen Isla

A great walk in good weather. I saw no one at all all day despite it being dry and sunny, had superb views and saw a herd of stags close by. Note that at stage 6 the peat bogs are large and worth diverting around. The map might tempt you to cut corners along contours, which as I soon found out is far more difficult than following all the ups and downs! Might be difficult to navigate in poor weather as some of the tracks shown are now no more than faint paths. Watch out for considerable amount of broken fence wire which might trip you climbing Monamenach. Overall well worth the walk and excellent views!
