An Teallach, Dundonnell
Route: An Teallach, Dundonnell
Munros: Bidein a' Ghlas Thuill (An Teallach), Sgùrr Fiona (An Teallach)
Date walked: 01/09/2008
We did this route starting at Corrie Hallie. Left in a thick mist hoping it would clear up as the day progressed. It did for approx 10min whilst at the cairn on Corrag Buidhe leaving the tops clear but with the white fluffy clouds / mist still below us, absolutely stunning!! The day proved very challenging not really getting to stow the map and compass, at times questioning our sanity. Came down on the track across from the farm near Dundonnell Hotel and had to walk back to Corrie Hallie, definately the most painful part of the walk. We have revisited in good weather only to whet oue appetites and ensure that we go up on a good day. A fantastic day out although the edge was taken of due to the constant concetration for navigation in the mist. If you haven't been up before I would definately save it for a non rainy day.
