Mount Keen
Date walked: 30/08/2017
Time taken: 4.75 hours
Distance: 17.5km
Ascent: 810m
After a long lay off I finally got back into the hills yesterday Wednesday 30th of August.
Mount Keen was the target.
The walk into the hill is fairly long and flat following a made path all the way. As you start to climb the path continues making this a very easy Munro to navigate.

A lot of work has been done to the upper path making the final ascent to the trig point a pleasant walk.

A pleasant 30 minute dinner break at the top and then the long walk back out to the car. We passed the Queenswell monument on the way there and back. A monument built to commemorate the fact the Queen Victoria stopped there to drink from the spring.

A nice walk without becoming too challenging and difficult. This would make a great first Munro for anyone looking to give hill walking a try
