Track vague and boggy but worth persevering

Route: Sheep walk, Auchtertyre Farm, near Tyndrum

Date walked: 16/10/2020

Time taken: 2.25 hours

Distance: 4.75km

Walk description generally good. In stage 3 there are few if any way mark posts left - rot or pushed over by cattle? Boggy. Keep an eye out for the stile (stage 4) easy to miss. There is a galvanised metal box on a post just behind it (junction box for electrifying the fence) which is a good landmark. Once over the stile you are in regenerated woodland (planted in 1999) which is lovely to see and walk through. Recommend continuing to the right at the track junction - really worth it. Track is very overgrown. Recommend walking poles as much is traversing a boggy slope. Stage 5 “The path eventually Joins a boardwalk” - Eventually is a long time! Stage 6 - farm track all the way down. We had added sights of highland cows, sheep being moved Down the valley by sheepdogs and clear views in all directions.
