There and back - and failed

Date walked: 28/06/2021

Distance: 25km

Ascent: 970m

Looking at the Explorer 394 map one day I was looking for somewhere where I thought I could get fantastic, to me anyway, photos of the Gaick Forest area. I decided that the best place would be Sron Bhuirich (848m) at grid NN 764824 where I would be able to look directly North up Loch an t-Seilich, have Loch Bhrodain on my West side and the Allt Gharbh Ghaig area to the East. I ended up 2 km short of my goal at NN 751805 at 853m 😢😢 with my legs, or was it my brain 🤔telling me I couldn’t go any further. So was it a wasted 25 km? No, what it did tell me is I’m still not as fit, or as young, as I was before we had our outdoor activities curtailed. No day in the outdoors is ever wasted and I will return to this mission at a future date.
