Headed up to Cat Law today, looking at the map I spotted a different circuit to do and checking previous walk reports there was a report on that route so that's the route I went for. Parked up at the old gate to the castle and headed up the road to a gate into a field following a faint track across to another gate on the opposite side. The good track leads all the way up to Cat Law, though it did disappear under some snow at one point - happy Zena!









The summit was soon reached, still a fair bit of snow on the hills in the distance. Zena did her usual posing at the summit,



We headed to a gate and went through, following a grassy track by the fence downhill. It led down to another gate where there was a crossroads, we took the track on the left that was hidden from view until we got down to it. It started out a good track at first and then shortly after going through a gate became more grassy and overgrown but still visible. Eventually the track reached fields used for grazing where there were a lot of sheep and a ford to cross, managed to get across without getting wet feet or slipping over and falling in!



The track goes uphill for a stretch after this before descending again down to the road and the short walk along the road back to the gate passing Ballintore Castle on the way.
