Recently moved to Scotland, this was my first experience of 'Munro bagging'. I took the route on March 9, first summiting Carn Gorm and proceeding clockwise back round to Invervar. A long, but relatively pleasant walk - navigation was made tricky at points by snow.

The beginning of the route was easy to navigate, following the forest line in the direction of Carn Gorm. Fairly soon snow obscured any sign of a path, so we proceeded on a more direct route. Occasional posts were actually misleading on the ascent to Carn Gorm.
Once at the top of Carn Gorm, we proceeded around the rear of An Sgorr and to the old fence line (marked on the map). This fence line made navigation much easier in the snow conditions, which we followed from just before Meall Garb until Carn Mairg.
After Carn Mairg, there ceased to be any discernible path and snow made it a little more tricky to navigate again. But, on the return it was easy to make our way back to the forestry near where we had began.

Overall, an enjoyable walk and some spectacular views with the snow. Can't help but think this route would be a little less picturesque in the summer.
