A brisk jaunt up this Corbett using the track from the holiday lodges which joins the main ascent route at about 150m and then a descent via the stank glen.
Enjoyable ascent with views opening up over NE to Ben vorlich and stac a chroin and to the west to Ben venue.
Summit was cloudy however and so didn’t get the hoped for expansive views.
Met a few chaps from East Kilbride who had ascended via the Stank Glen and who assured me that there was a path to follow, and so after a short ridge walk in the clouds, headed down on a fairly obvious path.
Path was lost for me however in very boggy area between burns at about 600m, and lost my footing a few times descending in the bog, before locating the gate/stile and joining the circular glen path that provided easy route out of glen back to forestry tracks and the lodges. Overall a very enjoyable morning made more interesting with the different descent route through a small but perfectly formed wee glen.
