The weather has been amazing, so thought it was best to walk some hills that would maximise the views.

Sgòrr Dhearg and Sgòrr Dhònuill (Beinn a' Bheithir) via the Schoolhouse ridge fit the bill nicely, plus a wee scramble makes a great day.

Not overlay hard for first longer walk of the year and had a event in Kinlochleven on Sunday so didn't want to be to knackered for that!

Strava APP said 4hrs 32mins moving time and 6:40hrs total elapsed time, so includes food stops, view and camera stops and chatting to folk.

Route is well worn and marked and mainly means just following the obvious line up & over, scramble up schoolhouse ridge is straight forward with well worn good holds, and very few loose rocks.

First summit is a subsidiary top called Sgòrr Bhan, you have to do it as it on route to the first Munro Sgòrr Dhearg, easy accent , very picturesque snow had formed a very smart cornice. The dry rock/scree was just few meters off to the side so simple walk up. Summit gave great views of almost everywhere, Ben Nevis, Mamore's, Glen Coe, Schiehallion, Paps of Jura etc etc

Easy walk down to the bealach then back up again to second Munro Sgòrr Dhònuill, wee scramble up the rocks, but straight forward in the weather I had, small patches of snow, Nice exposed feeling as you crest the top, then opening to a large flat top that feels very comfortable (no wind really). again amazing 360 views. Return back down to the bealach that you crossed then mid way turn down the glen (north ish) you can see the lochs and Ballachulish bridge etc if clear and head for the trees, The return is a wee bit wet but nothing to bad.

Long easy walk back to car park by the Coop in Ballachulish
