- Ideal day out: A bit of everything, Here in the states one of my favorite hikes has me ambling up and down hills, walking through blooming prairies, and then back in the woods, with variations so my loops can stay a bit creative. In Scotland I loved hiking along Loch Lomond, the breath taking views when you got high up followed by fairy green forest so richly green.
