Blanked on A'Bhuidheanach Bheag

Date walked: 06/03/2020

Time taken: 5 hours

Distance: 6km

Ascent: 536m

This will be one of WH's shortest reports.....
I tackled Munro A' Bhuidheanach Bheag which had previously escaped my bagging endeavours. This would be a short winter afternoon walk from Balsporran Cottages. Benign weather forecast, light till 6pm, etc.
No problem until I hit the plateau at about 800m. It was then a complete white-out, no blizzards, just featureless flat landscape covered in snow and thick white mist. This was my view for nearly two hours...

The view on the plateau - the entire time!

In spite of having a compass and a GPS I found it very difficult to navigate, ie walk in a straight line! Here's my track.

My actual track in the white-out!

Nevertheless, I got there and found the megacairn with revolving restaurant, etc..

The megacairn!

Never a dull Munro!
