Beinn Eunaich and Beinn a'Chochuill

Date walked: 20/08/2011

Time taken: 6 hours

As of 2009, more than 4000 people have climbed all the munros. I've decided that I will climb at least one munro each year for my birthday. There are 283 munros in Scotland (or 282? gasps at the BBC news btw!). Taken off my non-munro climbing years, I will still need to live till I am well over 300 to do them all.

Well, so I thought I'd speed up and do 2 munros this year for my birthday - Beinn Eunaich and Beinn a'Chochuill.

And what a fantastic day I had! I love Scotland (and the love is conditional, when the weather is good).

The original plan was to do Ben Cruachan, but I am glad I did the other two instead since Ben Cruachan was in the cloud most of the time.

Anyway, here are some photos to show you the great walk. I will need some help to point out the names of the hills when I got on top of Beinn Eunaich. I was totally taken by the breathtaking view!

I might as well say it since I only write one walk report a year - Happy New Year and you all have a good one!
