Left by mountain bike from Calvine and followed the landrover tracks to Bruar Lodge. From Bruar Lodge we left the bikes headed up Allt Beinn Losgarnaich to walk right round the back of Beinn Dearg to start our ascent up the North East side. This is quite a long way round and you get the feeling that you are walking round the mountain rather than climbing it. From the summit we headed SW down towards Meall Dubh but turning off down towards Allt nan Dearcag. Once back at the lodge we picked up the bikes and tackled a few of the steep climbs back to Calvine, a bike is a great way to tackle the long distances involved when tackling this remote mountain.
