A beautiful evening walk that started with blue skies all around as I left the car at the car park and started along a trail that I had walked before.

Quickly reached the fork after passing a couple of deer gates and headed up the water damaged path but I had the nagging feeling that I was losing light a lot quicker than I should have been, I put it down to the tree cover which was thick.

Emerged from the trees into sunshine. That section of path is hard going and being alone I wasn’t keen to move too fast either.

Soon came alongside the wind turbines and watched in amazement as the blue sky disappeared in front of me as cloud apparently appeared from nowhere and engulfed the turbines like something from a science fiction film. I plodded on to the trig point while the cloud circled my feet and chose not to hang about before heading swiftly back down out of the eery fog.

Took just over 3 hours on a solo evening ramble.

Good for the first after a long lockdown.
